I know a few folks who have had Hotmail address for a distant moment and don’t want to change. They additionally have bought iPhones and now have no way to use the built-in client on the iPhone to read mail. that solutions lets them read Hotmail on their iPhone. (Actually, the same setup can apply for Apple Mail, too.) One catch here is that your Hotmail history must support Forwarding. You can see it is does under the Hotmail Options.

Basically these directions help you set up forwarding in Hotmail so that incoming messages are forwarded from Hotmail to a Gmail history. that plus sets up Gmail and the iPhone to manufacture replies and new messages look like they come from Hotmail. When complete, you can read, reply, and send messages in Gmail and the iPhone as whether you were on Hotmail.

With that solution in place:

• Email public send to your Hotmail address will be visible on your iPhone in the built-in iPhone Mail software.
• If you reply to a letter on the iPhone or in Gmail, to your recipients it will look like it came from your Hotmail address.
• You can still check mail using Hotmail on the web whether you like.
• You can plus log into Gmail and see your Hotmail messages there.
• An added bonus is that you will benefit from Gmail’s junk mail filter, which is excellent.
• Since Gmail supports IMAP, the iPhone and the Gmail mailbox is synced nicely as you read, delete and filter messages.

To send a text to multiple recipients, simply forward a message but instead of sending the same message, you can edit the message and type a new one, then select multiple recipients.

While there are still quite a few die hard traditional phone users out there, the smart phones have all but taken over the industry. Blackberry and the iPhone are far and away the two most popular, but while most Blackberries still feature a keyboard, the iPhone is strictly a touch screen. Its success worried Blackberry enough to introduce several touch screen versions, but the lead that iPhone has created is quite substantial and will be very difficult to make up.

In a recent survey that was conducted by ComScore, it was estimated that there are just fewer than 24,000,000 touch screen phone users just in the United States. That number shows significant growth over the estimated 9,200,000 users from just a little over a year ago. With a growth rate of over 150%, this is a market that is clearly taking over. Of the 24 million or so people that are using touch screens, over 7.5 million of them were using the iPhone. When you think of all the different makers of cell phones that are on the market and then the different varieties of touch screens that are out there, this is a pretty significant number. The scary thing is that the number continues to grow every day as they release more and more applications and they continue to separate themselves from the competition.

This number will probably continue to rise as well because of the user base that calls the iPhone their own. For the most part, iPhone users are much younger than the average smart phone user and with over half of that pool being under 35, iPhone is aiming its marketing at the younger niche and it is obviously working. It is estimated that almost 60% of that demographic prefers the touch screen to the keyboard.

One of the latest iPhone applications to be launched is the Cry Translator. This is an app that was developed by BiLoop Technologic, S.L., and that uses sound analysis technology to figure out exactly what the baby is trying to say.

The analysis is based off of 5 basic emotions that a child will try and express: annoyance, boredom, fatigue, hunger and stress. All you have to do is put your iPhone up the wailing child and within a few seconds the phone should be able to decipher what they are trying to tell you through their crying.

The app is based on years of research and takes the crying and analyzes it to decide what the problem is. Once it has been deciphered, the iPhone will then give the parents some

ideas as to what they can do the calm the child down. For those fathers that try and shove a bottle in the mouth of the child every time they start to cry, this can be an invaluable resource. While you can raise your eyebrows at the idea of a phone being able to decipher crying, BiLoop Technologic says that there app has a 96% rate of success in determining the actual cause of the crying.

If you think this app is for you, you better hurry up because the price is about to move. From launch through November 11, they are selling it for the bargain basement price of $9.99 and after that, it is going to cost you $29.99 to be able to figure out what your baby is saying through the phone. While it may sound like a lot of money, it is a bargain for those fathers that are trying to figure out how to calm down their child around 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon during football season.
