Having a security system in the home is a must, but it does not do the user very much good when they are not home and something happens. The house could be getting broken into and the system could be wailing away, but the robbers are in and out before anything happens. The phone rings in earnest as the security company tries to call to see if everything is alright, but nobody is home.
That is a regularly occurring theme, but the iPhone now has an app that can keep the user in touch with their home security system and notify them of any breaches or alerts that are taking place. Protection One, Inc has released a new app for the iPhone that allows the user to gain direct access to their security panels. The program uses a series of codes and passwords to keep the integrity of the system intact and finally gives people peace of mind about the security of their home when they are not home.
of the benefits of the app are the ability to check to see if the system is armed regardless of location and the ability to disarm and rearm the system when the user is not home. This is great when contractors or maid service is scheduled to come. They can call the user when they get there to have the system unarmed and then make the user aware of when they have left so the system can be rearmed. This alleviates the need to have the alarm code out to individuals that are not part of the immediate family.
A subscription to eSecure is required, but the application is free for its subscribers. While the iPhone has a lot of great applications, this is one of the best ones yet. We have all been in a situation where we were not sure if a door was locked or the garage was left open and this application can give you peace of mind from half way around the world.
